2 - HOW DO I CHOOSE THE RIGHT PROFILE?
Choosing the profile is always a subjective as well as a technical decision based on installation requirements. First, choose from the wide range of profiles offered, over 13000 items, identify your installation needs and choose the desired material and finish: -AISI 316 - 304 - 430 Satin-finished - Polished - Super Polished stainless steel - Chromed Brass, Polished Brass, Natural Brass - Matt Anodised, Buffed Polished, Brushed Polished, Matt Tiltex, Wood lined, Painted aluminium -Coloured, Marbled, Super Glossy, expanded coloured PVC or flexible PVC with a wooden effect Once you have selected the type of Profile, Material and Finishes, you need to identify: -The thickness of the flooring/wall covering to install -Assess whether the chosen material and finish are suitable for the area where they will be installed (indoor and/or outdoor) In the product area you can view an extensive series of product and installation information, the data sheets of the materials, installation videos and images of the installed products to help you understand which is the right product for you.
3 - WHICH PRODUCT SHOULD I USE FOR CONTACT WITH CHLORINE AND SALT?
The material we recommend for contact with chlorine and/or salt with the best resistance to oxidation and corrosion are our profiles made with stainless steel bearing the code: -AISI 316L/1.4404-V4A indicated with the final item code CM. Many of the plastic profiles are resistant to chlorine and salt. See the product area and check the relative data sheets in the DOWNLOAD area.
4 - HOW CAN I CHECK THAT THE PRODUCTS ARE ORIGINAL INSIDE SPCAE PRODUCTS?
All Inside Space products have a special marked blanked/punched base (use the P symbol) on each profile. Each bar has an identification bar code with the company's trademark, product name, height, thickness, finish and material, EAN code, Made in Italy hallmark and 2D installation drawing. All Aluminium, Brass and Steel bars are protected with heat-shrink film and protective film. The boxes, pipes and labels with the illustrative drawing have Inside Space' trademark and on the outside have a label with the information mentioned above.
5 - ARE THERE ACCESSORIES AND ADDITIONAL EQUIPMENT TO HELP INSTALLATION?
Inside Space offers a full range of accessories and additional equipment to make installation easier and improve it: There are Caps, Joints and Capsules, along with internal, external and three-way Fittings for several profiles. You can find a wide selection of accessories and additional equipment in the following areas of the website: -Wall profiles -Step profiles -Skirting boards -Profiles for Terraces and Balconies
6 - WHICH INSTALLATION SYSTEM AND WHICH TYPE OF ADHESIVE/GLUE SHOULD I USE TO INSTALL SKIRTING BOARDS MADE WITH FLEXIBLE PVC AND WELDING SYSTEMS FOR WATERSTOPS?
To install skirting boards made with flexible PVC just heat them with a heat gun and mould them/level them depending on the shape and requirements. To glue the skirting board use acrylic glue. To weld the waterstop joints you need to overlap the two flaps and heat them/weld them with a heat gun. The bonding takes place by melting of the material by placing one flap on top of the other.
7 - WHAT TYPE OF SILICONE SHOULD I USE TO GLUE THE PROFILES AND FOR WHICH SURFACES?
-To glue Inside Space' products on smooth surfaces (e.g. fitted wall units) use single-component acetic silicone.
-To glue Inside Space' products to porous surfaces (e.g. plaster or cement) use acrylic glue or two-component silicone
8 - WHAT SHOULD I DO IF THERE IS RUST ON SATIN-FINISHED STAINLESS STEEL SURFACES?
AISI 304 and/or 316 stainless steel identifies the code of the type of stainless steel used to manufacture Inside Space' products. After short/long periods in damp environments, you may notice fine lines of rust in some areas of the profile. This is due to the fact that the brushes used during the satin finishing process of steel are iron-based. Sometimes micro impurities coming from these brushes, powdered iron, are ''entangled'' in the structure and on the long-term they rust, giving the impression that the steel is deteriorating. Simply rub with a steel wool pad (e.g. like the ones used in the kitchen) in the direction of the satin-finish and then clean with mild soap and water to restore the original shine and satin finish of the profile. For more information see the product, links and download area of the website, along with the data sheets.
9 - WHAT SHOULD I DO AND HOW CAN I REMOVE OXIDATION ON BRASS?
Moisture or particularly aggressive agents (e.g. oxidation due to contact with alkaline substances such as cement) can cause oxidation on the surface of natural or polished brass. This can be removed using a normal polish, Sidol/Smac or similar products. For more information see the product, links and download area of the website, along with the data sheets.
10 - WHAT KIND OF CARE AND MAINTENANCE DO ALUMINIUM PROFILES REQUIRE?
Aluminium profiles for indoor use are highly resistant and an excellent surface finish and good wear resistance. IMPORTANT You should pay attention to the outer edges and in general to the surface of all aluminium profiles: anodized, polished, brushed and painted aluminium. They must be protected against aggressive substances such as adhesives and sealants and smoothing or scraping and abrasive actions on the surface. For more information see the product, links and download area of the website, along with the data sheets.
11 - IS RIGID PVC AND FLEXIBLE PVC SUITABLE FOR EXTERNAL USE?
All Inside Space' PVC products are made with high quality extruded polyvinyl chloride and have excellent UV resistance properties. They are non-toxic and shock-resistant and ensure good resistance both indoors and outdoors, along with an extensive application range up to a temperature of 50/60° and are resilient to limited mechanical impacts and stagnation of fungi and bacteria. They also have excellent properties in terms of elasticity that are considerably higher compared to normal PVC, thanks to special additives and resins combined with the plastic material. We recommend using stainless steel for outdoor use at low temperatures and constantly cold environments (e.g. cold storage rooms) For more information see the product, links and download area of the website, along with the data sheets.
12 - WHAT PROCEDURE SHOULD I FOLLOW TO CONDUCT INSTALLATION IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE HIGHEST PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS?

You can find EXAMPLES AND INSTRUCTIONS FOR INSTALLATION, INSTALLATION VIDEOS, DATA SHEETS section, etc. For more information please contact our technical/sales office.
